DPMS, Bushmaster, Storm Lake, and Tapco are closing down.

Saw this at another site. It looks to be legit from the responses.

Apparently confirmation this morning coming down that the Remington Outdoor Company has closed the DPMS, Bushmaster, Storm Lake, and Tapco lines.

I heard this the other day. I've been pretty excited ever since then.

I got a Bushmaster lower that's going to finance my retirement. Woohoo!

I don't know how Tapco managed to stay around as long as they have.

I have an early Bushmaster Predator that has always been reliable and super accurate, and a Windham HBC that has been great as well. I have no problems grabbing either of them at any time.

that said, I know there are other options that may be better and though I won’t necessarily miss new ones being on the market, I hope this is not a trend toward a downward spiral of black rifle manufacturers.

May be wrong, but I think the market is saturated right now with Modern Sporting Rifles and there isn’t enough market share to go around.
