May be wrong, but I think the market is saturated right now with Modern Sporting Rifles and there isn’t enough market share to go around.
That and there is so much cheap stuff that has flooded the market. You have large companies, PSA and Anderson filing the lower end of the market which drove prices down. Plus 100's of smaller shops and online selling stuff from who knows were that makes BCA look like Daniel Defense. Its amazing how inexpensive some of this stuff has gotten.

I don't know how Tapco managed to stay around as long as they have.
G2 and being the only manufacturer to make cheap parts for a lot of obscure rifles.
I've installed more g2s than I can remember and currently have 4 of them myself. I'm actually bummed about crapco dieing because of how good the g2 is. Alg from here on out I guess.
