At one time I owned a Russian TIGR which is a Civilian version of the Druganov, and the accuracy out of it was nothing special. I currently own a Romanian PSL-54 and the accuracy on it is nothing special. There is definitely a second-kind-of-cool with those guns, and folks are impressed when I show it to them, but if you are looking for an accurate shooter then I suggest you look elsewhere because you can do much more with spending a lot less if you wanted to. I hope this helps.

EDIT

I noticed that I did not really answer your question. Both the TIGR and PLS shoot about 3-4 MOA regardless on if I am using match ammunition or not. I think a lot of this has to do with the included scopes with each rifle as they top at 4x unless you pony up for the really nice ones. There are options if you want to mount a scope with a picatinny rail as I think that RS Regulate produces some mounts that will work with the PSL.

As for prices, I do not see them dropping on the PSL as new ones cost $2,000. I paid $1,450 for mine many years ago, but it came with a lot of magazines which were like hen's teeth back then.

HoLeChit, where are you located? I have a PSL-54, it shoots OK with Previ ammo (2ish inches @ 100). Going to try to do some load development for it some day with some Sierra MK’s. If your in the OKC area you can shoot the thing! Just PM me some time. If you like stuff that’s different, they are kinda cool. If you want a tool that is accurate, I would be looking at an AR-10 type platform. Easier to find mags, ammo, and accessories for the AR. I have a few of those too. Let me know if you want to shoot sometime.

You are 100% right. The AR-10 is the way to go for accuracy. I have an Armalite AR10T that has put three rounds in one hole at 100 yds. with me prone using a bipod.

To add to your list for Dragunov look-a-likes, add the Vepr's. I snagged one just a month before they too got the import ban. I swapped out the stock and added a POSP scope.

I’m in the OKC area. I may hit you up on that sometime.

Yeah, already have an AR10. It’s obscenely heavy, but shoots great. In sharp contrast to the AK platform I don’t find the AR platform very exciting, hence why I’m looking at AK style stuff.

Ironically, it’s cheaper and easier to find PSL rifles than VEPRs in any flavor. I still kick myself for not buying a few when I had the chance. I would love to have a x39, 54R, and 308 hunter vepr.
