Texas has straight party ticket box, too.

There was a Church bus, picking up hood rats to take to vote. On the way, several workers were showing how to mark the straight ticket. Handing them a MARKED sample ballot. Telling them to mark your ballot the same.

Several went to jail, that day. Clinton still won.

The old folks (like "survived the Dust Bowl and WWII" old folks) used to talk about "Marking the Rooster" to vote straight ticket Democrat. (This was, of course, before the Democrats veered hard left in the '90s and Oklahoma turned deep red.)
From time to time, I think about why rural America left the Democratic Party. My main line of thought is that it started with LBJ and trickled down from there. It’s interesting to me that in my lifetime the Democratic Party has completely abandoned rural America. In the not to distant past, they supported farmers and the working class. Around my part of the state, there is a large number of bridges and dams that have an WPA plaque on them, and I think about how hard life was during that time. The WPA kept a lot families from starving. Unfortunately, now money is just given away to those looking to lay around all day.

If early voting is available, take advantage of it. Conservative candidates across the country need it to counter the media saying the Dems are so far ahead in early voting, to try and discourage conservative voters. In Virginia last year, by voting early and closely monitoring the polls on election day, the Gov, Lt. Gov and AG offices were swept by conservative Republicans (who are keeping their campaign promises). The Dem candidate for Gov (a Clintonite) couldn't win like the current WH occupant.

Here, but occasionally There.
I have a question about voting...not necessarily early voting.

I don't recall this option the first time I voted in OK two years ago. I was looking at this years ballot and noticed there's an option for straight party voting. Does anyone do this?

With all the drama that's centered around voting any more I'm inclined to just take the extra time to mark each individual race. Anybody do the straight party option?

As mentioned before, straight party voting has been around for a long time, however, when we voted early yesterday, we noticed that there was a sign in the voting booth that said that even if one voted straight ticket, one could still "fill in" the box for a candidate that was not of that party and it be a valid vote.

As for me, there was one Republican candidate that I didn't want to vote for, so I didn't vote straight ticket so that I could vote for the Libertarian in that race. I honestly didn't know anything about the Libertarian, but I dang sure didn't want the Republican.

Straight party for me. Went and voted at 8:30 this AM on Lincoln. No waiting. Looking forward to Kari Lake declaring an invasion and stopping the flood into AZ. Maybe TX will follow her lead. CA is hopeless I'm afraid.

The option for straight party voting likely was put into practice trying to lull the lazy voter into not bothering with any study of candidates. The old line of "my family has always voted....." doesn't work any longer. Neither party is what they were 20 years ago, and both sides have examples of folks that shouldn't be in elected positions.

In my opinion it doesn't matter if the party candidate isn't the best. Party, at least now, is more important than person. The more people of a party who win their elections the stronger that party might be. You may not like the person, but that person and the race they're in, may mean the difference between your party having the majority or not.

The democrat party isn't an option. The party has proven to be committed to a radical, far left, socialist/communist agenda. We can't afford to have more democrats elected regardless of whether or not you like the republican. Yeah, I know. It's a very distasteful situation but that's the reality.
