It is really difficult to sell anything on eBay and make any money on smaller items due to their cut. Sometimes it's cheaper to throw the darn things in the garbage.

I've bought a few things on ebay. Got a great deal on some Nikon Monarch Scopes still sealed in the box for a couple hundred off the cheapest prices I could find anywhere else.
For my 1985 Honda ATC three wheeler, Ebay is the ONLY place to find parts.
Never sold anything on there though.

Yep, if you pull he item and do a trade, eBay doesnt get their 10% cut.

I am also not a fan of how they "hold" your money until the buyer gets his item. I sold a $2,400 Hot Wheel a while back and they "held" MY money for a few weeks.

Hell, I've never owned a real car worth $2400!
