Notice how the liberal news reports call it "eco friendly" in their never ending warming indoctrination? They could have easily called it a metal straw, but NOOOOOOO, it has to be labeled eco friendly. I reported last year about the plastic straw issue. Pearls Oyster Bar wouldn't give you a straw of any kind as part of their effort to save the sea turtles. Ate there last week and you got plastic straws. I'm guessing public comment was negative because how in the heck can a straw get from there to the ocean to cause distress to a sea turtle? Oh yeah, while at Padre Island in February I think it was, we toured a sea turtle sanctuary and medical facility where they repaired the turtles that had been hit by props or other sea predators. You could buy a soft drink there with a plastic straw.
