Egg thief relocated

Had the same here last week eating eggs, unfortunately it did not get relocated..

Since it’s not easy to catch the egg thief in the act I built this to be placed in front of one of the nesting boxes leaving an egg for bait works on the principal of a minnow trap

i use a minnow trap and put an egg or two in it. set it along the floor next to the wall and use cardboard or straw and build a funnel of sorts. helps to crack an egg. i have used a ceramic egg sometimes to get the sneaky ones.
