Hello everyone, I've been on this site since 06 and I feel kind of weird posting this, but because it's for my momma, I would do anything for her and humble myself. For those who don't know me, my name is Jeff Splawn. I'm an Elementary Mild/Moderate Special Education teacher in Moore. My mother has always raised my sister and I to work hard, help others, stand up for what you believe and above all, never give up! She's the most amazing person I've ever known. She has faced so much adversity since we were kids and we learned how to be warriors in life by watching her hard work, but also through her daily sacrifices. She has always been a giver and made sure everyone was taken care of, even at the detriment of her own health. She was a special education paraprofessional for 20 years and inspired me to become the teacher I am today. She can no longer work with the children or work with my sister in her home daycare because she was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that removed a large obstruction and cancer mass that left her with a colostomy. Even through she only sees the blessings God puts in front of her. She started going to Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa for her chemotherapy, however after the first treatment, while dealing with heart problems she went into afib and had to go to the hospital. After a week and shocking the heart back into rhythm, she went home, only to go back another week later with internal bleeding from a large ulcer. After finally getting that taken care of and going home again, where she is now, she is having to work everyday with us to learn to stand again and take some steps. Our family has stepped up so much to help her by medical equipment to get around, a lift chair to help stand up, and an electric wheelchair. However, my dad has sacrificed so much everyday with around the clock care and has struggled because of bills and now half of their income being lost.

I simply ask, if you are willing and able that you can help support the relief of my amazing mom and dad so they can continue this fight and recover some expenses lost due to the cancer. I'm so thankful for the family and community around me, thank you all and God bless you!
