I made a living once working contract then the government wanted there cut at the end of the year. Put me right back into poverty.

Been doing it now for 7 years, working enough to bring my wife home to work here with me.

We also don’t buy a lot of preprocessed stuff though.

That is the best way, processed foods have a lot of salt, phosphates etc that are not good for you.

Did the same thing a few weeks ago. Needed 2 tires, priced at several local shops $265 each for mitchellens. Found two tires on line same brand got them for $340 shipped to my door. Used a friends tire machine and balancer, my son mounted them for me. Like buying local but with cost increases gotta save where you can.

That is a great question. At this point they could get a second or third job, but the availability of jobs will start to be impacted when people quit buying stuff. I’m afraid we are in a death spiral and not even know it yet.
I don’t know what those on fixed incomes can do if they are unable to work.

No one thought that this day would happen or be upon us this quickly, remember Trump said, "If I do't get in you're gonna lose your country." He wasn't blowing smoke, it's going as we post. And why is Biden doing exactly as Obama would do if he were in office? And didn't Obama say that he wanted us to pay $7.00 per gallon of gasoline? Quiet, Biden is "working."
