To quote the Wall Street Journal, on Jan 2, 2025 "the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals cleaned up after the Federal Communications Commission’s net-neutrality rule. Credit an assist from the Supreme Court"
Today, I think I had my first experience with it. I was reading a web page, then suddenly the browser opened another tab, re-directed me to it, and presented an opportunity to win a prize by answering 9 questions for AT&T, my ISP.

Shopping for a VPN now.

Anyone else experience this or similar?

I’ve been been enjoying switching servers to places like Japan and the Netherlands, so I can watch all the targeted ads switch languages. As a free VPN, Proton has its bugs but it’s pretty good for the price. You just have to switch it off and back on, so it will switch servers if latency gets bad.

If you're using MS Edge...............................STOP! If you're using Google Chrome.........................STOP! These are two of the worst browsers there are. They track every move you make snd sell your movements to all manner of sites.

I use Firefox as my browser, and Duck Duck Go as my search engine. They don't track you.

You need an ad blocker. I use the free version of AdGuard Adblocker.

I use Avast! VPN. It costs a little bit, but has a lot of servers in the US and abroad.

All this work rather just because Trump appointee Ajit Pai and his punchable Reese's mug face wanted kicked backs from the industry when they wanted to kill it back in the olden days. /sigh/
