    Hey guys.
The wife and I are thinking about taking a long weekend and going to Eureka Springs AR. I have never been there before. We are looking for a place within walking distance of all the Main street shops and eats. We are looking for a place that is dog friendly.
Anyone know of a good place to stay? Maybe some things to see?
    Thank you.

Take lots of money. Stay in a B&B near or in the old, quaint part of town for sure; avoid the cheap motels and enjoy an old Victorian B&B. It's a cool, quaint, little town, lots of good things to see and do. Good restaurants. If Italiano's is still open, eat there, it was great. Also a place called Chez Charles was awesome. Been a few years since we went last though, so I'm not sure if either is still open. Wife will probably really like all the fancy little shops; you...maybe not so much. $$$$$. We (wife) bought a "Wedding Ring" quilt there for like 3 hundred geeters that's "too nice to put out and get messed up". It is still in the big plastic quilt bag it came in...on a visit there almost 22 years ago.

If you're going through Bentonville, there's some great places to check out. There's Crystal Bridges museum, and then my personal favorite is the Museum of Native American History on the corner of "O" and central (shameless plug). You won't be disappointed.

You should check out the Basin Park Hotel.

They do charge for pets. We ate at the Balcony Bar and Restaurant, and played pool upstairs in the Lucky 7 pool room.
    Cool old hotel right downtown.

They are nocturnal, you can't hardly find them in the daytime.

Timely thread, I went to Eureka Springs for a long weekend a few weeks ago! We rented a nice AirBnB close by, not sure about the pets policy. Neat town, very hilly (especially downtown) so be advised if you are out of shape and want to walk around. Lots of cave tours, hiking, good eats (as Joel mentioned), and so forth.
