Illinois woman was found inside her boyfriend's house around midday on Thanksgiving; she was fatally shot, her current beau was shot in the head but survived.
Authorities found them during a welfare check; believe they were shot by the woman's ex-boyfriend.
The kicker - they think the couple were actually shot in the home the evening before and the man was "so severely injured" he was unable to call for help.
The deceased woman is described as a "self-defense instructor" who "sponsored 'Girls With Guns,' a course for women that taught firearms safety, basic pistol fundamentals, rules of a firing range and ways to draw a weapon from a concealed holster."
Ex-boyfriend, a convicted burglar, is held on $3 million bond.
