I’m certain by now almost everyone has heard of them, but does anyone here have any experience with them? I’m thinking of a lightweight build with a 14.5” pencil profile which, conveniently, you can get with a .625” O.D. brake or flash hider already pinned and welded. If anyone has any experience with this, or any other Faxon barrels please tell me your thoughts, impressions, accuracy results etc.
What kind of gas block did you end up using? I’m kinda partial to fixed front sights, but I don’t know I could find one with a .625” ID made for a journal length of 1.9”
I have heard more than a few guys say, "Friends dont let friends buy Faxon Barrels". I do have one with a Faxon barrel, doesn't get used much though.
I used a lightweight adjustable titanium gas block. Not sure of the brand, offhand
I've really only heard good things about Faxon barrels. I'm currently looking for a barrel for a build as well. I'm looking for something that isn't heavy, but is accurate. So far, I'm torn between Faxon, Ballistic Advantage, and AR Precision. I'm leaning heavily towards AR Performance at the moment until someone can talk me down.
