A dirty or worn extractor can cause malfunctions. It's important we keep that extractor clean. Here's a great little gizmo I found that works fine for cleaning under and around this critically important part. I think this cost me like $1.99 at the store. They're plastic, so they won't hurt your gun, but they do a good job of getting all that crud out of and around the extractor. Plus they leave your gun smelling minty fresh.
