If Impact driver is excluded then the obvious answer is Sawzall

If you need to do remodel work a oscillating multitool is indispensable, but the sawzail gets more general use. I've even used it for pruning.

How do you live?

I didn't have one for years thinking it couldn't do anything a drill driver could already do. How wrong I was. I now kick myself in stupidity for all the years I did not have an impact driver.

Dewalt Impact driver. It's not tough enough for heavily torqued wheels on the car, but it can handle hand torqued lug nuts, rusted bolts, and just about any screw bolt you need to drive anywhere.

my little 18v dewalt impact fully charged puts out 180 ft lb torque.

The one that I use more than I ever expected? My dad’s Milwaukee cordless grease gun. I tell you what, that thing makes greasing the almost impossible to reach zerks on the moco almost fun.

My favorite, though, is probably my Milwaukee 1/2”-drive impact gun. That thing is handier than a pocket on a shirt when it comes to stripping the threads out of a nut…
