My very favorite gun is a 1977 Smith & Wesson nickel-plated Model 36-1 revolver my Dad used to carry when we went fishing or our family traveled. It was also his home defense gun. I don't remember him ever shooting it, but he did take it with us a lot. My Dad passed away 9 years ago this month and my Mom gave me the gun to have this past Easter. I sent it back to S&W to fix a slight issue of the cylinder being much harder to close than it should have been. They offered to polish it up like new where there is holster rub, but I wanted it back looking just like it did when my Dad had it. It looks perfect to me! Here are a couple of pics of the gun and all the stuff he had with it, including the 36-1 Chiefs Special nickel-plated with 3" barrel .38 Special, matching grips in the box and Mustang 3 grips installed, left-handed black S&W and tan Bianchi holsters, parts list/instruction sheet, holster brochure, safety card with authorized service centers, S&W ammunition brochure, warranty card, extra [URL='http://rover.ebay.com/rover/13/0/19/DealFrame/DealFrame.cmp?bm=1008&BEFID=96424&acode=941&code=941&aon=&crawler_id=481999&dealId=vo7ZxYu-lsKNNZdSVtxA9g%3D%3D&searchID=&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.brownells.com%2Frifle-parts%2Ftriggers-parts%2Ftriggers%2Frem-700-calvin-elite-trigger-nickle-plated-sku883000055-64679-127296.aspx%3Fcm_mmc%3Dcse-_-Itwine-_-shopping-_-883-000-055%26utm_medium%3Dcse%26utm_source%3Decn%26utm_campaign%3Ditwine%26utm_content%3D883-000-055%26gdffi%3D5e517ec5e60d4cc7bbc235bfc648114c%26gdfms%3DCBA8D8410A304DBFA1BB129D5A82CA53&DealName=Timney%20Remington%20700%20Calvin%20Elite%20Trigger%20-%20Rem%20700%20Calvin%20Elite%20Trigger%2C%20Nickle%20Plated&MerchantID=481999&HasLink=yes&category=0&AR=-1&NG=1&GR=1&ND=1&PN=1&RR=-1&ST=&MN=msnFeed&FPT=SDCF&NDS=1&NMS=1&NDP=1&MRS=&PD=0&brnId=2455&lnkId=8070676&Issdt=161228051455&IsFtr=0&IsSmart=0&dlprc=219.99&SKU=883000055-883000054-10914']trigger, oiled paper, bore brush, and the original blue box. It is a great shooter...very accurate and comfortable with the Mustang grips. I sell some of the guns I buy and try, but this one will never leave.
