Interesting.

Although I don't shoot my 1911's that much, the 230 gr Hydra Shock has been my standard load for years.

Every 1911 I've had seemed to like them accuracy wise as well as function.

Guess I'll stay with them.....

I don't know if they refer low recoil to the low bullet weight at standard .45 ACP velocities which would certainly result in low recoil.
I use 185 grain in my 1911 loaded up to 1100 fps for deer. Does a pretty good job on them.

That wouldn't be a bad deer load either. At 100 yards, it's still running as fast as a standard 230 grain load, not that I would take a shot at that range.
