He made his a while back and polished it nice mine has more of a brushed look but in his words he text me

"I did not achieve perfection. But i met Red Army standards. I also finished in Red Army standard #150 grit precision machining paper as you requested. I really need a tig welder to do this. The mig made life difficult. The silver solder to hols the shaft inside the ball worked great"

Your friend did a nice job on your bolt. Was your Mosin an ex-sniper? I don't recognize that import mark, Molot or Tula? Got picks of the top of the barrel chamber?

it doesn't hurt anything but your cocking piece has alot of pitting. you can pick up a new one for a few bucks and it will fit right on your bolt.

I regret selling my tula PU sniper. Those are going for stupid money now.
