Fiber Optic Sight Question

I carry a Browning Buckmark coon hunting.

Shooting at night by a light,would a fiber optic sight be an improvement?

I would say yes. The available light should make a good FO sight glow.

There has to be some light for fiber optic to be effective, so it probably depends on what night. But I'd be surprised if it worked at all. I might try it tonight if I remember.

Oh there will be a light,my coon hunting light.

My concern was whether the light would be too much.

Not sure, but shining the light away from the sights (i.e. at the 'coon) might not reflect enough back to illuminate the fiber.

Do they make tritium sights for that model? "Glow in the dark" may be more what you're lookin' for.

Just a thought.

I think your helmet mounted coon light would shine enough light over the fiber optic sights that it would work perfectly.
