No. Melanism (black) in coyotes is "occasionally" found in eastern OK. Before this week I had only seen one alive and I seen it twice, both times leaving the same chicken compost shed. I have seen a couple others that were already harvested by hunters. Since last Saturday I've caught three in traps. However, the first one (below) shows melanism but is not full melanistic like the two above.
