There is a series of museum at Lackland Air Force Base -- If you don’t have DOD Creditials, you can apply for a pass. Wanted to go, never the time or near.

In Fredericksburg, Texas; a little over an hour Northwest of San Antonio is the Admiral Nimitz Museum -- National Museum of the Pacific War. Went a few years ago -- Excellent Museum !!!!

No suggestions on what TO do, but I highly suggest NOT taking a leak on The Alamo. I heard one dude did that and was banned from San Antonio for decades.

Maybe it was just too high of an expectation, but learning about the Alamo in history and seeing illustrations in the books showing it out in the desert and all then going to it irl and looking more like a courthouse than a fort. Plus being a country boy not used to the city life seeing a bum preaching to a tree is kinda impressionable! Lol. YMMV

Haven't been there since the 70s but we enjoyed the zoo and botanical garden next to it. Zoo was rated number 2 in the nation behind Los Angeles. Again in the 70s
