Academy has Hornady black ammo for $18. It shoots well and is tough to find cheaper.

WOOHOO! need a range report of course.
My 30-06 scope sits high and 100 and 200 yard hits the same spot on paper so for a hunting rig it can work really well.

height feels fine to me. No it's a standard 22" barrel.

They were out of the Hornady Black the other day, so I bought the Non Typical 140 grain for $17. I'm going back before the shoot, maybe they'll have the Black

I'll bring a few different boxes. You can see which giv s the best group.
The Non Typical shot pretty well in my gun. Didn't have time to work up a load so I used it during deer season.
