Finally picked up my new carry pistol...

...and my Glock sight tools definitely do not work on the Steyr sights. Who can I go to that won't butcher them with a punch?

You can get an aluminum punch from Dawson Precision for just a few bucks and do it yourself. A blue pen will take the silver from the punch right off and you new sights will be pristine.

There are some decent sight pushers out there that should handle that for not much more than a smith will charge to install them. Check Amazon.

This is my current second Steyr. My L9A2 is the most accurate pistol Ive ever shot. I was hitting steel at the Tri City rifle range with it.
It was just a smidge too big to carry so I got the Compact model. I sold my Glock 26 to budget this and some holsters, plus night sights. If you have the opportunity, shoot one! You won't regret it!

I have an aluminum sight punch as well as one with a hard nylon tip that won't mar a finish.
Brownells has what you need to DYI for $7.

You can swing by the next time you are close and use my sight pusher if you'd like.

Other than that, I'd recommend what others have said with a nylon tipped punch or a brass punch.

I like the Steyr pistols. I have an L40-A1 w/357 SIG barrel.
Steyr does little to market and support these in the US which is a shame.
