I’ve always maintained a “large” supply of ammo.
All reloads except for rimfire.
Shoot a lot of rimfire, so when the 8years of obama came about and rimfire was almost non existent my stash got lower and lower. I swore on this forum I’d never pay more than .05 a round.
Quit shooting first.
Now it’s in easy supply so decided to go ahead and finish out the old stash, adding to the new to keep fresh ammo.
My last two boxes went down the pipe today.

LOL! You cheap ole ba$turd! You remind me of ... me.

Not cheap, just a huge stash.
For the record, I never fired a rifle until I got into the Army.
Had a bb gun rifle and that was it. Family was anti gun, and most still are.
All I had was a .410 H&R shotgun that killed many dove and quail, bought with lawn mowing money for $17.50 at the surplus store. Still own it BTW.

I keep most of my .22 ammo in old Tupperware garnered from garage sales. Pretty much air tight. I always wait for a low humidity day to 'pack' it. Has worked great for many years!

p.s. Remember to write the date on a piece of tape and rotate the stock!
