Man. I have never even seen one in the wild! That is a very nice cat there man.
I'd never seen one in the wild 'til this, err, last year. I saw one scoot across the road as I was heading home late one afternoon a few months ago.

I hate to see them go down, but that thing should look amazing once it's stuffed. Congrats!

They are the #1 predator of quail and ground nesting birds outside of feral house cats in urban areas.
Since fur prices have gone down to basically nothing, the cats have really expanded their numbers. We used see one or two a season in our game cams, but it's common to see them now. I don't have an issue of any of them being trapped or taken in the field legally with firearms.
I've taken them with traps, pistol, bow and rifle.
