I have been hunting for over 50 years and have never seen a bobcat until 3 months ago. Now, I see this same bobcat at least once or twice a week. I had my game caller set up calling crows, dropped one and about 5 minutes later, "my" bobcat go it and sat there eating it no more than 30 yards away. I am in a 3 person blind, so I was totally concealed. About 15 minutes later, I shoot another crow while this same bobcat is staring at my caller just a few feet away, and it gets this last crow that I shot and walks off into the woods with it. Now, I can get about 40 yards from this cat and it won't even bother to run from me. I have not tried to get any closer, because I don't know what it would do. My wife and I both have decided not to shoot it, and in fact we are now trying to find some live chickens for it. I just got a new video camera, and I want to stake a bird out and record this cat coming to dinner. As close as we can get to it, I think we can get some great footage of it.
