Had the generator hooked up and running. Power came back in about two hours.
I’ve got a wedding reception to go to at a place called Five Oaks Lodge in Jenks this evening. Is anyone familiar with it and is there anything we should expect flooding wise?
I attended a wedding there several years ago. It's right on the river, so I wouldn't be surprised at all.
This from their website http://www.fiveoakslodge.com/
I'd probably check and make sure it hasn't been canceled.
Actually, I guess that's not the river, it's a lake. All I remembered was water. So it might be okay.
Thanks Aries, looks like a 30 acre lake on the property.
It looks like they're more than a mile from the Arkansas and about a mile from Polecat Creek (which was all "you're not the boss of me, I'll go wherever I want" when I crossed it on the Creek Turnpike on Thursday), so they're probably OK, but I'd suggest calling, for sure.
“It’s a - nice day for a - wet wedding (yeah!)”
