This poor thing has seen better days. I lost this knife over two years ago while cleaning out a log pile from our creek. This was a birthday gift from my wife and of course she hasn’t let up on me one little bit over the last couple years. She did finally replace it after she thought I learned my lesson….. bless her heart. Probably didn’t help that I lost my wedding ring the same year.
I’ll send it in and see what benchmade does with it.

I have that same knife. It was a gift also and I don’t want to lose it. I keep in in the door of my truck because I’m sure I will lose it in the field.

Interesting story. I had a Benchmade I just got back a few weeks ago that I had sent back for repair. I had broken the tip. They did a small reprofile and sharpen, then put on new scales and clip. Other than blade wear, it looks new. However, I too am hesitant to carry, so still carrying the Amazon Ontario Knife Co $25 knife. Which I bought because it’s a nice knife for not too much dinero in the event of loss/breakage.
Congrats on finding it. Send it off, I’m sure they’ll make it nice again.

Be sure and give that story to Benchmade. I know Surefire flashlights post interesting stories, like yours, on their website, about strange and different tales how consumers have used their SF lights, or, like you, found a lost flashlight that was lost years ago.
