both are 80's (mostly). Both are awesome. Both can be modded for whatever you want to do. Both compliment a mullet wonderfully. Which do you like better and why?

I was raised GM but I have to vote fox. The first "fast" car I ever rode in was an OSA members car back around 2001, @JEFFBIGWOOD was giving me a ride home from high school, turned the corner and punched it...when it got sideways I was hooked. Another thing that always stood out to me was with some 40 series flowmasters they sound the absolute best of any street car. They seem like the easiest car to make fast also, I have seen some LS swapped foxes do amazing things.

I personally think G-bodies look better and like the fact that they aren't as plentiful, seems that you see 10 mustangs for every g-body. But IMO the stang wins this one.

Man, this is like an election between Hillary and Bernie for me. I'll pass on both.

That aside, I think you can do more with G-body cars. I've seen a somewhat equal number of drag cars made out of both, but I dont recall ever seeing Foxbody "roundy-round" circle track cars or anything else aside from a drag car.

The front suspension on the Fox body was not the best for roundy round and not the best for high speed runs.
145 MPH is not high speed.
I do like the rack steering.. the Fox is lighter to begin with. Both of them have weak ass rear ends as far as stock goes.
I have had both of them.
I would put rack steering on the GM and a Ford 9" in whatever you decide on.

I actually like the pinto/ mustang II suspension better basically a lighter version of the GM A arm suspension.
And you get rack steering.
I like rack only because it is simple and less parts.. that also saves weight.

Here is a tid bit for you. The Fox power rack will steer easier than a Manual Ford rack.
And that is without any power assist.. just seal off the top holes in the rack and join the lines with rubber hose and add Trans fluid into the hose as you turn it.

I installed a Power rack off my Fox mustang into My 78 Nova.. and the Nova got some Ford truck leafs and 9"
Leafs moved forward Just under the front spring eye,, then clamped.
Move the rear 2" forward while I was at it.
Mopar Super stock package basically.

So I vote hybrid I suppose a mix of the 2 or 3 or 4 you decide.

Love me some foxes. Went through all of these. I would buy new 5.0 though. They are dirty.

I own a Fox so Im biased. If you are talking about the drag strip its fox hands down. If you want to see for yourself just go to Thunder Valley and watch. A lot of people are swapping stupid LS motors into Fox bodies but honestly it seems to me like its a chassis swap to the better chassis instead of a motor swap for a better motor.

that goes both ways man. true the fox chassis is excellent but to deny the LS motor respect is retarded. Don't pretend that LS motors aren't superior to the older 302s in every single way.

and lots of guys cry "coyote swap instead" which is fine and all if you want to spend 3 times the money or more for virtually the same results.
