I posted a link to a restored Travco back on the second page I believe. A longer model I believe. Their body was very heavy fiberglass and very well made. the black on the outside looks like it might be the typical mold that developed on old boats. Their engine was a 318 with a torque flight (sp?). While there is a bit of salvage $$, there are people out there that would spend a lot of time to maybe make usable.

The Dodge RV chassis and powertrain typically had a Chrysler A-727 (TorqueFlite), 3-speed transmission. They were very heavy duty transmissions and rated for 500HP input.

Talking about crushing cars, I had a friend about 45 yrs ago who was 20 yrs older than me. He said there was a junk yard near his home when he was a kid, so it was late 40's or very early 50's. He said every day people would bring in Model T's to be crushed! When I was a pup (very early 60's) All that hideous "modern" furniture was en vogue. The ugly "blonde" bedroom suites that were about as shiny as formica, and those big ugly living room sets with arms about a foot wide and made of a very coarse fabric that usually had metallic shiny threads spaced through it. Well, granny used to take me to the Salvation Army and it was PACKED with beautiful antique oak furniture for almost nothing. You could buy curved glass china cabinets, ornate secretaries, and round oak claw foot dining tables and chairs for 15 to 25 dollars.

Talking 73 chevy 1500 about 100k miles 87 chev dually with less than 70k 78 f150 lifted 2x 80;s fords 3x 60;s impalas 56 ford pickup and the list goes on inside were the 58 impala the 80 Camaro the 76 toyo gt etc. still have a 58 Apache pickup to drag over an international semi 70;s Subaru wagon. some 40's bodies. the light can go on for days. Hell I found a trailer under an old tank this weekend. LOL at titles. I have almost all of them I think, But When I sell some, they will just sell. If Simeones interested they will clean them out for you.
Any interest in selling the 58 impala, my most favorite car…for ever.
