Looking for free places to take my four year old granddaughter on her first time fishing with her Grandpa (me). I haven’t fished in over 13 years and now I need to take my granddaughter fishing for the first time. I’ve found my poles and tackle and taught her to cast in just four try’s. She’s so smart! Well she cast pretty far on her fourth try she was as surprised as I was and now she’s raring to go. But I’ve lost contact with people that I could go fish on their places or I’ve just forgot. Getting old ain’t fun. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

There is a pond near the community center off Holley it is one of the original Chisholm trail watering holes.
You can fish there.. you do need a fishing license unless you are exempt from having one.

There are catfish and bass and perch in that pond.

No permit to fish it either.
There is a little pond in my housing addition the addition is called Woodrun.
Little fish in that pond but I think Goose poop surrounds it.
I have not fished it since last year but I did catch a lot of small perch.

I used to put catfish and crappie and other fish into it as did a couple other residents.

It mossed up so bad the oxygen level went to 3% and the fish died one year.
It had 6+ lb catfish in it and bass that were nearly that big.
Quite nice for a pond you could almost cast across.
