What are typical guns people start with do you have to use a 12ga?

Can anything be accomplished with say a 20g H&R Pardner? Or do you need the 12g version? Also, is it possible to chamber for 45acp or 45LC? I do not have the means to load my own 45AR. Excellent work by the way. I really enjoy your build pics.

No.

45/70 and 500 S&W barrels are real popular for relining to different cartridges in the H&R and T/C Encore, as well as various muzzle loaders, Ruger #1, Ruger #3, etc.. The larger the factory barrel is, the more that can be done with them.

Could you make one out of an over/under?

I guess I need to find a single shot and bring it to you!!!

I have lined a lot of over/under and side x side shotguns, but the biggest problem is finding someone to make the extractors or ejector for these conversions. Plus, depending on the gun itself, there are a lot of chamber restrictions.

Having said all of that, three of the best conversions is chambering these guns to the 45/70, 444 Marlin and 30-30 Ackley Improved.

On the h@r, can the trigger be worked on too?

Yes. I adjusted mine from the factory pull weight of 8 pounds 2 ounces down to 2 pounds 14 ounces.
