Let your incisions heal and don't strain your stomach for twice as long what they tell you. If you dont hernia problems are very likely....and I am ready for it to be gone lol. Ready to be able to eat ice cream again. At least it's not a knee replacement
MAKE SURE YOU TAKE A STOOL SOFTNER!!!!!!!!........ Make sure you take something like Konsyl or MetaMucil as your system no longer produces bile which acts as an intestinal lubricant and without something like this you will have the most awful constipation. Make sure to take to your doctors about this. Mine was removed in the late 60' and no one said anything and I had some terrible times until I started using something with psycillum fiber for water retention and bulk
I forgot to mention, I also have problems with lettuce. I do not buy it I just sort of rent it. I have taken to eating mostly raw spinach on my salad in place of lettuce. In fact raw on a salad or sandwich, or in a pizza is about the only way I can eat spinach.
