That was one of those surgeries I was actually happy to have done. Good Lord my stomach hurt SO bad. Had it out the day before Thanksgiving. We went out for Thanksgiving and I ate normally for the first time in MONTHS ...
You will be SO glad you had it done. I haven't had any problems with any foods -- no "bathroom issues", none of the problems that people traditionally complain about. Hope it works that way for you too!!

Well? Did everything go ok? 
Checked in at noon, procedure at 2pm, home at 6pm. Lots of small stones, the gb itself was enlarged and "firm" he said so definitely needed to be out of there. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. Drugs are working right now and pretty sore.

I had mine taken out about a year ago. I was glad to get it done after being in severe pain for about 15 hours. They did it with a scope and it went real well. After having 5 hernia surgeries and a disc removed, I'm betting on the appendix to be next. Glad yours went well.
