Saw him in Norfork, VA, late 1984. He had the audience roll'n in laughter and ducking watermelon juice. A geet evening. RIP.

He was an amazing comedian and is credited as having the first standup special on broadcast television. We got to see him several years ago and he was kind enough to spend a few minutes talking to us after the show and signing some swag.

One thing I didnt know until this weekend is that he had a degree in chemical engineering but chose comedy instead.
