I scored a sweet deal on some .30-06 ammo this week from a guy in Vian. 176 rounds, 17 Garand clips, and 4 Springfield clips, and he included 2 fabric bandoliers as well what I've determined to be an M1923 cartridge belt. It's got the strap for '03 Springfield clips, and the buckle is on the right side, so it's US manufacture. I can't make out the markings to get any more info than that.

It won't fit my fat butt though (40 inch jeans). The adjusting strap is only about 21 inches, and honestly, I'd need an extra 5-6 inches to make it fit properly. Does anyone know if there was a longer strap made, or if the repro companies make one?

Here's a repro belt extender from At the Front Shop: Belt Extenders

Their M1923 repro belts appear to be US made, as is the extender.

    Hope it helps,
