We can probably find something about every celebrity, every product, and every corporation that we don't totally agree with, but we become only a different version of the triggered snowflake when we attempt to get others to boycott them. If you don't like them, avoid them, and shut up about it. Trying to show just how "woke" from the right we are has become childish.
You mean like when Liam Neeson came out as virulently anti-gun after making millions in movies with a gun in his hand? Totally ruined the Taken series for me.

Or was I not supposed to talk about that?

As for Garth, he hurt someone I really like so I have more than one reason to dislike him.

To paraphrase the great Alice Cooper on the music business ...

Cooper was asked once what he thought of musicians making political statements during their shows. His reply was something like this, "The music industry is a really stupid industry with some really stupid people in it. Do you really care what they say?"

I have to disagree, as a musician myself when you are doing well ( I was never in his category) and then you start sliding backwards it’s an ego thing to get back on top, it has nothing to do with the money ! Just like Hank Jr. he never HAD to perform to live like a king but his ego made him do it !

Garths half brother Jim Smittle of Owasso have been friends of my wife and I for a very long time. Jim’s wife and mine go back to Will Rogers HS in the 60s as friends. I was Jim’s principal for 2 yrs during his career in education.
We have been in Garths home in Owasso back when he was located in Owasso for dinner. We were on his 46 ft house boat he had on the large pond at the same location as an invitation. We have had breakfast with him and Trisha at Hugos in Claremore. They both attended our church in Owasso. We have received complimentary tickets to his shows here, in Kansas City, and Trisha provided complimentary tickets to her concert at the Choctaw Casino on US 69 south of Durant. We have been backstage both here and my wife in Kansas City.
Why do I list all the above? I do because I know the man and his wife FAR better than you and ego is not him when it comes to music. As for his NET worth my wife made a call and was told it’s north of168 million as of 2018. People that speculate about stars are often wrong about them because they really don’t know much about them.

Oh wow! Just imagine what they think about us. That matters just as much as what we think about them. We may not like them, but most of them do more for society than we do. I can’t remember the last time I gave a million dollars to tornado recovery efforts, or any other crisis.
Yep, and they sure love to let people know when they donate that money. The right thing would be to donate it anonymously. But they wouldn’t get any credit for it then.
