Gas jumped up .09 today here in Stillwater. Up at least 25 cents in the last three weeks. What is the deal? Economic recovery?

Ex prez of Shell Oil was saying we will likely see $5 gallon before or during 2012.

I have been wondering the same thing...it should have gone down after the holidays. There were several rail spurs that went down with the bad weather across the country, that might have hurt supplies for the short term.

Diesel just dropped about a dime here.

There have been reports of $4/gal by summer and $5/gal for next year.

Sucks considering I drive 21 miles one way to work in a truck that averages 16 mpg. At $5/gal that's $100/week just to drive to work.

There is one store here that is always 10-15 cents cheaper than everyone else on diesel.
But he doesn't have pay-at-the-pump. Paying over $100 to fill my pickup doesn't seem so bad when I can put it on my card.

Supply & demand. Prices will fall when we quit driving again.

There's no real reason for the prices to go up right now.

Now that I have one vehicle gone, time to pull the 914 in the garage and get it going. That 27 MPG in city was really nice!
