Bought my Browning BT 99+ from Gene. Appreciated him having his desk out front so he could visit with customers.
I was there Monday to purchase 6 flats of shotgun shells for a fundraiser. My go to place for many shooting related things and for deer blinds. RIP Gene. Sure hope the business continues - no place like it around here.

I bought a set of genuine mother of pearl grips from him for a friend who wanted some on his mirror polished nickel Browning Hi Power.
He tried to talk me out of buying them. I told him, that I too tried to talk the guy wanting them out of it. But my friend was very persistent, saying money was no object.

Any time we ran in to each other he would pull my kids aside and tell them stories until I had to pry them apart. I hardly ever spoke to him because he would spend every interaction making my kids feel like they were the most important person. He'll be missed.
Sad to hear this. Bought some ammo from them yesterday. Talked to his son but had no idea anything was out of the ordinary. Great and helpful family and will continue to do business with them. Prayers for the entire family.
