Clear as mud is correct.

I have the same question to 3 GW and received 3 different answers.

Learned that a long time ago.

Just because a GW says it, that doesn't mean it's correct.

I've had them tell me things that were legal were illegal and had them tell me things that were illegal were legal.

Some of them don't know their ass from 3rd base. Always keep that in mind when dealing with a GW.

I don't recommend breaking the law but this thread reminds me of the old radio broadcasts from World War II.
Edward R. Murrow: "This...is London...(noise in background of air raid sirens and BOOM! BOOM! of antiaircraft guns).

Bottom line: Don’t take matters into your own hands, call the police. Especially since claiming self defense against a hobbyist drone could be very very tenuous. Now if it’s a Predator loitering in your backyard, you probably have bigger issues than a violation of privacy or wildlife harassment.
Is it murder to shoot down a pesky, unmanned drown? If so, why not hunt the operator?

I didn't know that, That's not much of a law, How about drone operators? Kinda like the signs that say it's a $10,000.00 fine to run over a higghway worker, but not a word about running over politicians?
When you start shooting drone operators for being annoying it’s considered murder.
