Aren't the Marlin 60 rifles marked Marlin 60? I saw a rifle that was marked Glenfield Model 60 by Marlin Firearms Co. Looked just like a Marlin 60. I don't find much on line about Glenfield. So, when and what years did Marlin mark the 60 that way? Is it a different (maybe cheaper) version of the Marlin 60, just sold under the Glenfield name?

Yeah, that's what I'm finding online. I've only seen one other Marlin 60 and it seems like it was just marked Marling without the Glenfield.

Marlin Glenfields are great guns.

They usually have a birch stock instead of walnut, otherwise they are pretty much the same as the regular Marlins.

There is a lot of info here.

I have a Glenfield Model 60. Awsome rifle! Yes they are the same rifle... Parts exchange and you use Marlin parts to relace in repair. During a period, sears, kmart, etc used to sell firearms and would sell them under their "brand".
