The M&P advantage is stainless steel slide, metal sights, better trigger, and a safety if you wish. I like Glocks but I feel the M&P is better in almost every way.
I recently picked up a M2.0 Compact with the 3.6 inch snout. Awesome pistol, very balanced, incredible trigger pull. Much better lines and curves than any Glock I ever owned. A beautiful finish on the slide and mags. Just really a more asthetic pleasing pistol.
Sold it yesterday.
Why? Other than me being nuts it wasn't a Glock. I've carried a Glock of some configuration for almost 30 years. I reckon I'm just hard wired to denounce any other pistola I try to slip into the stable.
Sad really...

Perhaps I was too subtle. The goal is for me to save some money on a pistol I want. Your temporary ownership is simply a means to an end.I've held one. They feel awesome. But alas, in the back of my pea sized brain, all the anti Glock propoganda starts happening.
Like I said, I've owned em all and I always return to Gaston's Polymer Perfection.
?????It needs a stainless slide since the finish lasts about a day of holster use. The only pistol that I’ve seen wear the finish off faster is an STI. The “stainless” also rusts if you don’t keep it wiped down periodically.

?????
Don't seem to have this problem with any of ours around here
Or they both could have been made by the resident slacker on a Friday.Maybe they’ve improved their Melonite finish. The Pro and Compact I had both had this problem.
