I had heard it was replace the recoil spring at 5000 rounds on the 9mm and at 3000 rounds on 40 caliber or bigger.I try to keep a log on all my guns so I will have a pretty good idea when its time to change the recoil springs.I change my trigger spring at 10,000 rounds on my glocks.
That may very well be correct. To be honest Ive only changed one recoil spring on a glock in my life. I didnt even need it then but I knew the round count was getting way on up there.
