Sounds like maybe spring is binding. Seems like I've heard that about the longer mags. Taking them apart and checking it is usually the fix.

I think it was binding too, but usually I have my 33rd stick loaded on my night stand, for now it functions with out fault. I check everyone once n a while to make sure that theres nothing wrong with the spring or the mag follower.
