Thinking more about it. More research says that if I were to get the 43x, I could still use the same holster I use for my 43.

That silver slide still bugs me. Wonder what it would cost to cerakote the slide?

Black Label Armament did a Sig slide for me recently for $75. Decent job too, took about a week.

Never have been a Glock fan (they always felt like a brick in my hand), but got to handle one of the new G48 models today. It is the only Glock that has ever felt good in my rather small hands. Maybe one of you reprobates will get one and let me shoot it sometime. It almost feels like a decent gun.

Here, but occasionally There.

Reprobates? Really? Are you related to the Hildebeast?

Do I dare EVER do another FGST lunch in Lawton?

I also have smallish hands, but I don't have an issue with my Glock 23C. Haven't tried my 30SF yet.

With time to kill, and both a G43 and a G48 on hand, a quick slide swap and a 43X was born. Then, a 43L. Either one looks like a very nice CCW--for a Glock anyway.

I picked up a 48 yesterday to add to my options. I may just try to make a carry gun out of this one.

Just dropped off my sons Feg Hipower Friday to get coated at Black Label Armament. Dealt with Mike at the counter and was really impressed with his grilling me to get exactly what I want for my sons pistol. Then the guy that will actually do the work came in and asked more questions and took notes on the answers . I asked if I could get it back before my sons birthday and Mike actually made a note of the day to make sure they get it done . After seeing the work on @coolhandluke CZ I am excited to see what this pistol looks like !!

Is there a pattern to Glock's model numbering system? To me, it is very confusing.

The 17, 19, 26,34, 43, 45, 48 are 9mm
The 22, 23, 24, 27, 35, are .40 cal
The 20, 29, 40 are 10mm
The 21, 30, 36, 41 are .45 cal
The 37, 38, 39 are 45 GAP
The 42 is .380 cal
The 31, 32, 33 are .357 auto

Not to mention the G23 CUTAWAY, BLUE 17, BLUE 19, hut! hut! hut!

Splain this to me.
