Is there a pattern to Glock's model numbering system? To me, it is very confusing.

The 17, 19, 26,34, 43, 45, 48 are 9mm
The 22, 23, 24, 27, 35, are .40 cal
The 20, 29, 40 are 10mm
The 21, 30, 36, 41 are .45 cal
The 37, 38, 39 are 45 GAP
The 42 is .380 cal
The 31, 32, 33 are .357 auto

Not to mention the G23 CUTAWAY, BLUE 17, BLUE 19, hut! hut! hut!

Splain this to me.

Now more on the order of release and/or development, but the first was based on Gaston Glock’s 17th patent.

Several are not imported the 25, 28, 46 etc.

A couple of times a new caliber was introduced and it came out in a 17, 19, 26 sized frame so there were sequential order. When the .40s came out the and thing but they were 17, 19, and 17L based. Then the 26 and 27 were the next US group released.

I picked up a 48 yesterday to add to my options. I may just try to make a carry gun out of this one.

You do have options--43, 48, 43X, or 43L. Have fun!

Just dropped off my sons Feg Hipower Friday to get coated at Black Label Armament. Dealt with Mike at the counter and was really impressed with his grilling me to get exactly what I want for my sons pistol. Then the guy that will actually do the work came in and asked more questions and took notes on the answers . I asked if I could get it back before my sons birthday and Mike actually made a note of the day to make sure they get it done . After seeing the work on @coolhandluke CZ I am excited to see what this pistol looks like !!
Be sure and post pics of the FEG. One of my favorite pistols.

Picked up my 43X from GR Distributors at Sooner State Pawn today. Sure feels good in the hand. And a bonus is it fits and rides perfectly in my holsters I already have for the G43, the RM Lowrider and TT Gunleather KX Lightweight IWB too. Man, it feels very well balanced with a full mag and ONE in the chamber. Now to get to the range and shoot it!
