Sorry for the OP's bad experiences, but from the ones I've seen the damn things just seem to work. I don't care for the plastic sights that look like a fat lady in a white dress walking past a white picket fence. (Yeah, I stole that description from somebody.) Fortunately accessories like holsters, different sights, etc are easy to find. Glocks don't feel the greatest in MY hand (some of the chunky little compacts feel downright weird). Glocks are also ugly as sin, but beauty is as beauty does. When it comes down to it...I don't really care about the look and the feel of a fire extinguisher either, I just want the (bleep of a bleep) to work when I grab it up to use it. Nothing man made is perfect, but the Glocks I've seen have worked well. And in this day and age of so much stupid s*** that doesn't, that's a refreshing change.
