I've only put 10 rounds through an M&P 2.0 compact so I don't have a lot of skin in that game, but compared to my Ruger Security 9 (same specs as 2.0 compact & G-19) I'd say the felt recoil is less with the wider guns but the ability to carry with confidence that I'm not printing is definitely better with the 48. The weight is also quite a bit different. Carrying at work where I'm constantly lifting, climbing, kneeling, bending, etc. I'm not having to shift the gun or belt even half as much with the 48 And while driving, there have been several times that I've checked to make sure it was still on my side because I felt too comfortable and thought i may have lost it. The holster has a lot to do with that though. Glock hit a home run with this model for sure. Now when S&W comes out with a competing M&P, well I may change my mind. Who knows.
