I compete in GSSF matches, do it’s required. But they do things to help promote shooting sports. The magazine they publish is decent. Plus through GSSF matches I’m sporting an G34 MOS that was almost free from the matches. (Had to pay an upgrade fee) I’ll be renewing with a lifetime membership for $350 and still be ahead in my opinion.

For some folks the benefits you mention may well be worth the extra cost. For a vet looking for a CCW, HD or range toy and does not care about competing and is looking for a good deal at minimal cost...

I like Glocks and will continue purchase a use them if the deals are not available. Enjoy that 34.

I was looking at the G40 and minus the 120 5 year membership, you're still a couple bucks ahead after the savings. 705 without, 570 with membership. Can't go wrong with that at all, plus you'd have 4 more guns you can buy.
