This new rule, which took effect on January 31st of this year, will force Americans to register or destroy approximately 40 million of their lawfully owned brace firearms within 120 days, or face possible felony charges.

The Gun Owners’ lawsuit, which can be read here, documents how the ATF has waffled on the topic of pistol-braced firearms for almost ten years. Originally, the agency stated that such braces would not convert a pistol into a Short-Barreled Rifle (or SBR). And in 2014, the ATF even stated that if gun owners were to brace such a pistol against one’s shoulder, that would not reclassify the pistol as an SBR.

But of course, that was then, and this is now. Under the Biden administration, ATF has now revoked or radically altered all of its previous classification letters. And gun owners are now suffering under the “new normal”—where Joe Biden is dead set on banning as many firearms as he can.

GOA’s lawsuit is the most comprehensive suit filed, and it spends significant pages explaining why this ATF rule is unconstitutional. You can watch an episode of our Minute Man Moment breaking down the eleven ways GOA believes ATF violated federal law and the Constitution by clicking the thumbnail below.

Good on them. However, in the video, the fellow says their lawsuit may seek remuneration for court and attorney costs. Hello - who would pay for this? We the taxpayer, of course, while the ATF shrugs it off and looks for other ways to circumvent the law. If we want it to hurt, everyone who pushed for the pistol brace rule should be the ones personally responsible for paying these costs. Whoop - all of a sudden, there would be no more push.

You may not have one of these evil pistol/rifle thingees, but ALL gun owners have a dog in the fight. Most hunting rifles hold 3-4 rounds, wait you can only have a one-round capacity from now on! Now breaking! Only air guns are legal now. This is how they will make things if the antis get their way.

Draco was an ancient Athenian lawgiver in 623 BC who was known for his harsh ways-hence the name draconian which means exactly what old Draco was..harsh. I read that several years ago and somehow it stuck. I wish algebra had stuck to me as well as this bit of hisotry.

Talk about math, the school shooting at Fort Gibson had a boy go to his math class and when he pulled his math book out of his backpack it had a hole in it. Yup you guessed it, teacher opened the book and found a bullet in the book and raised the book over his head and told the class “See math can save your liife” 😆
